A canal river or inshore waters long range power cruising boat kit
This was done purely as a concept design and a few years back, the idea is still there it just needs someone who wants such a boat to allow the design to be completed?
Two possible layouts are shown, the final layout would be to the owners requirements.
I would expect this design to be in a plywood/epoxy build with a GRP sheathing over it to add strength for contact with lock gates and walls?
I had anticipated about 40 Hp - 50 Hp for this design.
Consumption around 2 l/h, at cruising speed of say 5-6 kts, would
give a daily range of 120 nm, using 48 l fuel (approx). If you carried 480
l, that would give you 10 days cruising, with a theoretical max range of
1200 nm in flat waters. Call it 1000 nm.
This design was intended as a versatile passagemaker - for med type
conditions, rather than canals. It would be ok on European rivers and
waterways, and the Med sea for example. Subject to beam restrictions, not
sure about the UK.

Note, they must not be used for contruction in any form.
The final design and building details will be drawn up by a well known boat designer.

40M World Cruising Yacht
The timeless exterior styling of this world-class cruiser displays features that appeal to a wide range of yacht owners and admirers, with clean lines and a pleasing simplicity. Large working and lounging cockpit areas provide plenty of outdoor space for crew and guests to enjoy comfortably.
All deck equipment is powered by a robust hydraulic system, and centrally controlled from the port and starboard steering stations aft. Accommodation spaces below are geared toward entertaining and cruising enjoyment. The pilothouse also includes an over-sized vessel control station and chart table, so guests can participate in the technical operations of the vessel if desired. At the bottom of the pilothouse is the expansive main salon with formal dining area for eight guests, a large full-service bar, and seating area surrounding the inviting wood-burning or gas fireplace.
Aft of the main salon are the large VIP stateroom and study, which can also be converted into an additional guest cabin. The spacious full-beam owner's stateroom provides the privacy and comfort an owner desires when living aboard his yacht on extended cruises. Forward of the main salon are two additional guest cabins with options for queen or double berths.
Beyond the guest living spaces and accommodations are the ship's office, well-suited for all operations aboard a vessel of this size, and large service galley, with enough storage and counter space for the preparation of sophisticated or simple meals for the guests and crew.
Crew accommodations at the bow include a comfortable dining settee and wet bar, as well as quarters for four crew and a queen cabin for the captain.

Dix Design cruising boat for sale
This Dix 43 has been built as a cruiser, it is well fitted and carries most of the equipment we would expect to find on such a craft.
Launched in January 2000 she is now for sale at a fraction of the expected replacement cost.

This boat has great sails and you will have no need to buy more?
The canvas spray dodger has since been removed and one of the www.www.com hard dodgers has been fitted in its place.
